The HD4K model from Christie combines DLP technology in the Stationary sector with 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1500 hours for this projector's lamp. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 429 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
