The Christie DW4kc is a DLP projector offering 4250 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 1500 hours for this projector's lamp. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Distance Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 662 cm can be illuminated with 4250 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 441 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. This model dates back to 2007 and is no longer part of Christie's current product range. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
