Behind the name D13WU2-HS is a 3D-DLP projector by Christie, whose main features include 12000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 750000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 12000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1113 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 742 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.
