A projector from Christie is the CP4440-RGB, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 45000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of UHD (4K+2K) 4096 x 2160 and a contrast of 6000:1. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 50000 hours, covering an estimated 34.2 years based on a 4-hour daily runtime. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 45000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 1292 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 861 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. The projector was released in 2023 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
