As a projector, the Christie Roadster S+22K J combines DLP technology with a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050, and is additionally specified with 20000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1600:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 750 hours. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without introducing digital image artifacts. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 20000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 1232 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 821 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2011, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. However, it remains frequently searched within our database. Note: According to our information, replacement lamps (original or generic) are no longer available for this projector.
