A projector from Christie is the MIRAGE DS+8K-J, whose Laser-DLP model delivers 6800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 and a contrast of 2000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1500 hours before a replacement is necessary. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 6800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 479 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Christie.
