With the DW3k neu, Christie offers a DLP projector that features 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of HDTV 1280 x 720. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 1500 hours. For precise setup, the device features a lens shift mechanism that allows for purely optical image shifting. Thanks to the interchangeable lens system, the device can be equipped with optional lenses to react flexibly to different room sizes. Exact values for specific rooms are provided by the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
