The technical data of the Optoma ZU725TST includes 7000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1100:1 as well as a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 display. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Projector Calculator. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 150 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 850 cm can be illuminated with 7000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 567 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 29 decibels.
