As a projector, the Optoma HZ40HDR combines DLP technology with a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080, and is additionally specified with 4000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 1800:1. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection.
