The projector ZK708T by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 7000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 300000:1 at a resolution of HDTV 1920 x 1080. Using this laser phosphor technology, the light source runtime is rated at 30000 hours, which translates to 20.5 years with 4 hours of daily use. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Projection Calculator. To allow for cross-manufacturer brightness comparisons, the stated ANSI lumen value is based on a conversion of the lumen specifications. Looking at practical performance, up to 850 cm can be illuminated with 7000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 567 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
