The projector ZU720T by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 7500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1000000:1 at a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 30000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 20.5 years. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 7500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 880 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 587 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported, and also offers the technical capability for 360° projection. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2018 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma.
