Designed for the Short Distance sector, the GT1080HDRx model from Optoma features 3800 ANSI lumens, a native HDTV 1920 x 1080 resolution and a contrast ratio of 50000:1. According to Optoma, the included lamp lasts up to 4000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 98 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3800 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 626 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 417 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K as well as 3D are supported, meaning standard Blu-ray formats are processed effortlessly. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 28 decibels. The projector was released in 2019 and is officially no longer distributed by Optoma. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
