The projector EX556 by Optoma utilizes DLP technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 13000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4500 hours before a replacement is necessary. With two hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 6.2 years. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm.
