The UM352Wi (Multi-Pen) is a LCD projector by Nec, whose specifications list 3500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6000:1 and a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 3800 hours before a replacement is necessary – mathematically sufficient for 5.2 years based on two hours of use per day. For basic image adjustment, the device is equipped with horizontal and vertical keystone correction, allowing digital compensation for trapezoidal distortion at angled projection setups. Regarding projection size, the value of 3500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 601 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 401 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The built-in HDMI-MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port enables screen mirroring from a smartphone while simultaneously charging it. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. Specifically for the educational or business sector, an interactive whiteboard function is also integrated. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (20W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
