The hardware properties of the M260WS manufactured by Nec include 2600 ANSI lumens, a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast value of 2000:1. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 4000 hours before a replacement is necessary, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 94 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 2600 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 444 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 296 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2010 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
