The P525WL model from Nec combines LCD technology in the Stationary sector with 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 500000:1 and a native WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Projector Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. In the specifications, the operating noise is listed at a mere 26 decibels, indicating very quiet cooling. This model dates back to 2018 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range.
