The Nec P452W is a 3D-DLP projector offering 4500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 6000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. According to Nec, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. Accurate distances are provided by the Lens Shift Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 4500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 682 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 455 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
