Equipped with DLP technology, the Nec P502WL offers 5000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 150000:1 and is designed as a versatile projector. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction, allowing the projected image to be positioned with immense flexibility. The specifications identify the device as a model with an interchangeable lens option. Matching optional optics allow for exact adaptation to the required image size and projection distance, which can be calculated directly with the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 718 cm can be illuminated with 5000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 479 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Nec.
