Based on DLP technology, the Nec U250X projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2500 hours. With its built-in wide-angle optics, the device belongs to the category of short-throw projectors. An image width of 2 meters is realized from a short distance of 75 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2010, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
