Behind the name PowerLite L890U is a LCD projector by Epson USA, whose main features include 8000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5000000:1 and a WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. This is a laser projector with a light source designed to last for 30000 hours – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Projector Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 8000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 909 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 606 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. Since the projector supports Miracast and Airplay screen mirroring, video signals can also be streamed wirelessly from the end device.
