With the BrightLink 480i, Epson USA offers a LCD projector that features 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 and a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. The image geometry can be adjusted via the built-in keystone correction so that a clean, rectangular display is achieved even with non-ideal placement. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 66 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 318 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2012 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
