The projector EpiqVision Ultra LS800B by Epson USA utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000:1 at a resolution of UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours. With four hours of daily operation, this corresponds to a period of 13.7 years. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 32 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 643 cm can be illuminated with 4000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 429 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K. Thanks to Android TV, the device features an intuitive user interface with direct access to popular streaming apps. For wireless audio output, the projector also supports Bluetooth, making it easy to quickly connect external soundbars. The projector was released in 2022 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson USA.
