Designed for the Standard-Portabel sector, the EX5220 model from Epson USA features 3000 ANSI lumens, a native XGA 1024 x 768 resolution and a contrast ratio of 10000:1. According to Epson USA, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. Since entering the market in 2013, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
