With the iVision 50 WUXGA XL (Preliminary), Digital Projection offers a 3D-DLP projector that features 5600 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 5300:1 and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. According to Digital Projection, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projector Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 760 cm can be illuminated with 5600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 507 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. The model is perfectly equipped for complex installations: In addition to the RJ45 jack for network administration, an HDBaseT port is available, transporting high-resolution AV signals over a single Cat cable. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Digital Projection.
