The Digital Projection E-Vision LASER 5100 is a 3D-DLP projector offering 4500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Thanks to its low throw ratio, the model is excellently suited for rooms with limited space. A distance of just 100 cm is sufficient to generate an image width of 2 meters. Looking at practical performance, up to 682 cm can be illuminated with 4500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 455 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Regarding professional networking, the device offers a classic RJ45 LAN port for control alongside HDBaseT for the lossless transmission of picture and sound over long distances. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (5W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2020 and is officially no longer distributed by Digital Projection.
