Based on DLP technology, the Benq LK830ST projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000000:1 and a UHD (4K2K) 3840 x 2160 resolution. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 20000 hours – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 99 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 4000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 643 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 429 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content and 4K. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels.
