This projector from Sony utilizes Laser-LCD technology, achieving 2800 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 3000:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. According to Sony, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. The short-throw capabilities allow for large images at a short projection distance. According to specifications, a 2-meter wide image requires a distance of only 92 cm. Regarding projection size, the value of 2800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 461 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 307 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Since entering the market in 2015, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
