A projector from Sony is the VPL CX71, whose Laser-LCD model delivers 2000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 350:1. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 2000 hours. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
