The technical data of the Sony VPL SW630 includes 3100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 3000:1 as well as a WXGA 1280 x 800 display. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 3000 hours. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Distance Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 54 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. A look at the light output reveals: The 3100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 566 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 377 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. Equipped with a microphone jack and built-in speakers (16W), audio signals during presentations can be played back directly without an external audio system. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Sony.
