Based on LCD technology, the Sony VPL CX235 device delivers 4100 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 3100:1 as a projector. According to Sony, the included lamp lasts up to 3000 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 4100 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 558 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 372 cm. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. This model dates back to 2012 and is no longer part of Sony's current product range.
