A projector from Epson is the EMP 7550, whose LCD model delivers 1000 ANSI lumens, a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768 and a contrast of 300:1. According to Epson, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 275 cm can be illuminated with 1000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 183 cm. The projector was released in 1999 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.
