The Epson EB-5520W is a LCD projector offering 5500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 and a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800. According to Epson, the lamp has a durability of 5000 hours, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. To facilitate room installation, the device is equipped with mechanical lens shift and additional keystone correction. Precise setup distances can be determined in the Distance Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 753 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 502 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. The HDBaseT connection particularly shows its strengths in complex installations, enabling long transmission paths with standard CAT cables. Thanks to support for optional Miracast, screen content can also be cast wirelessly from a smartphone, tablet, or PC to the screen. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.
