The EB Z9870U model from Epson combines LCD technology in the Stationary sector with 8700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 15000:1 and a native WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution. According to Epson, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Both optical image shifting (lens shift) and digital keystone adjustment are included, enabling exact alignment on the screen. The optical system is designed for the use of interchangeable lenses, allowing for a tailor-made configuration for almost any throw ratio. The Lens Calculator is available to calculate the exact dimensions. A look at the light output reveals: The 8700 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 948 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 632 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2014 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
Stationary | Permanent installation in the training room and meeting room as well as the conference room. Very large screen width and rooms with plenty of light and shaded daylight.
