Known as the EMP 740, this LCD projector by Epson features basic specs of 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 400:1 at a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Epson, the lamp has a durability of 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 435 cm can be illuminated with 2500 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 290 cm. The projector was released in 2004 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.
