With the EB-L1050U, Epson offers a LCD projector that features 5500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2500000:1 and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 120. With its built-in laser light source, the projector achieves a manufacturer-stated lifespan of 20000 hours, which translates to 13.7 years with 4 hours of daily use. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projector Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 5500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 753 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 502 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P and 4K are supported. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2020 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson. As an archive device, the projector remains highly relevant in our database.
