According to Epson, the EB-X18 model provides 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast ratio of 10000:1 alongside a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 5000 hours before a replacement is necessary, which amounts to roughly 6.8 years at 2 hours of daily use. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. Looking at practical performance, up to 477 cm can be illuminated with 3000 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 318 cm. Also on board is a local media player that allows reading and playing content directly from storage media. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Epson.
