A projector from Barco is the F400-HR, whose 3D-DLP model delivers 2870 ANSI lumens, a resolution of 4KESHIFT 2560 x 1600 and a contrast of 6000:1. Barco lists a runtime of 50000 hours for the LED in this projector – calculating to 34.2 years at four hours of use per day. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Projection Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 467 cm can be illuminated with 2870 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 311 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P and 4K as well as 3D. Furthermore, the model supports 360° projections for highly flexible deployment scenarios. The HDBaseT connection particularly shows its strengths in complex installations, enabling long transmission paths with standard CAT cables. Since entering the market in 2022, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
