Categorized in the Standard-Portabel segment, the PLC XU38 projector from Sanyo projects with a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, alongside 2000 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 350:1. According to Sanyo, the included lamp lasts up to 2000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. The projector was released in 2002 and is officially no longer distributed by Sanyo.
