The projector PT F300E by Panasonic utilizes LCD technology and, according to the spec sheet, achieves 4000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 600:1 at a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 5000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.8 years based on two hours of use per day. Thanks to the combination of optical lens shift and digital keystone correction, the projected image's position can be adjusted very flexibly. The Lens Shift Calculator helps find the optimal installation dimensions. Regarding projection size, the value of 4000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 551 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 367 cm. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2008 and is officially no longer distributed by Panasonic.

Many people today are looking at Full HD or even finer resolutions. Well, why not. In practice, however, as you are sitting 3 meters away from the picture, an XGA (HD) resolution offers a similarly good and sometimes even better picture than the (too) high resolution ones in almost all cases. Especially with this model, which is one of the best and brightest XGA projectors ever built. The often heard wow from my guests speaks volumes for me, or rather - it speaks for itself.
