Based on DLP technology, the Acer U5310W device delivers 2700 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 10000:1 as a projector. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 3000 hours for this projector's lamp. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 70 cm. Looking at practical performance, up to 528 cm can be illuminated with 2700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 352 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content as well as 3D. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.
