Based on DLP technology, the Acer H5381BD projects images in a Homecinema environment, with technical specs listing 3200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 20000:1 and a HDTV 1280 x 720 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 5.5 years when used for 2 hours a day. Regarding projection size, the value of 3200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 575 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 383 cm. Additionally, a built-in ambient light sensor measures the room lighting and automatically adjusts the projection settings. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2016 and is officially no longer distributed by Acer.
