The technical data of the Acer K10 includes 100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 as well as a WVGA 858 x 600 display. Acer lists a runtime of 20000 hours for the LED in this projector – calculating to 13.7 years at four hours of use per day. Looking at practical performance, up to 102 cm can be illuminated with 100 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 68 cm. Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 28 decibels. This model dates back to 2008 and is no longer part of Acer's current product range. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.

I wallpapered the wall 2 x2 meters in black and hung a 16:9 format MDF panel in front of it, sawn and painted with Alpina white.2

Acer K10 is a good projector
I‘ve had the projector for 2 months now and am more than satisfied.
I have it hanging under the ceiling with a Bose speaker mount at a distance of about 3 meters from the wall. I set the projector to 16:9 in the menu and set the light intensity to high, now it‘s a bit louder but even brighter. I built a 16:9 screen myself ...

Only for emergencies
So it‘s rare to find something this weak, and if you‘re happy like "Aschitaka" it‘s strange.
Of course you can see something in a semi-darkened room, but that has little to do with a usable picture. You have to switch to the dark toilet for that.
Transportable OK, surprisingly noisy (louder than my big one!!), price too high for the toy.

You can‘t go far wrong for the price
I ordered the projector and it arrived yesterday. after testing it, I have to say that you can‘t go far wrong for the price (except if you play with consoles, e.g. xbox 360). the brightness of 100 lumens is perfectly adequate for a semi-darkened room. the picture is sharp and not pixelated even at 180 cm diagonally. the only disadvantage is that the projector does NOT have pal 60 and you can‘t play all games with an xbox 360, for example (some games only support pal 60). otherwise perfectly adequate for a dvd evening.
