The U2 870 model is a DLP projector from Plus, intended for Standard-Portabel applications, offering 700 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 500:1 at SVGA 800 x 600. The runtime of the lamp in this model is estimated at 1000 hours before a replacement is necessary. Looking at practical performance, up to 230 cm can be illuminated with 700 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 153 cm. Since entering the market in 1999, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. Important maintenance note: It is no longer possible to procure replacement lamps for this model.
