Based on LCD technology, the Hitachi CP-EX5001WN projects images in a Standard-Portabel environment, with technical specs listing 5200 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 16000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 4500 hours – mathematically sufficient for 6.2 years based on two hours of use per day. To compensate for angled projection positions, the model features 2D keystone correction, which digitally corrects trapezoidal distortion. Regarding projection size, the value of 5200 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 628 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 419 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P are supported. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2017 and is officially no longer distributed by Hitachi.
