The XEED SX60 is a LCOS projector by Canon, whose specifications list 2500 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 1500:1 and a SXGA+ 1400 x 1050 resolution. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. Should a perpendicular setup to the screen not be possible, the integrated keystone correction (horizontal and vertical) helps to realign the image into a perfect rectangle. Regarding projection size, the value of 2500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 435 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 290 cm. A look at the data sheet confirms a very subtle fan noise for the projector at just 30 decibels. The projector was released in 2006 and is officially no longer distributed by Canon.

Thanks to LCoS there is practically no grid to be seen, the contrast in ECO Cinema mode is also very good, and it is extremely quiet to boot (still). It is ideally suited for presentations, film and photos, I am positively surprised by its performance, it manages the balancing act in both worlds, top device, can be recommended...
