The projector LX MW500 by Canon operates as a DLP device with 5000 ANSI lumens, a WXGA 1280 x 800 resolution and a contrast of 3750:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. For distortion-free image alignment, the projector offers both a lens shift function and keystone correction. The amount of leeway the lens provides can be checked in the Projector Calculator. A look at the light output reveals: The 5000 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 718 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 479 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P. Thanks to MHL support, screen content from mobile devices can be transmitted via cable, including charging power for the device. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. The projector was released in 2015 and is officially no longer distributed by Canon.
