As a projector, the Vivitek DU6871 combines DLP technology with a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200, and is additionally specified with 7300 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 3000:1. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 2000 hours for this projector's lamp. Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment without distortion. To meet a wide variety of installation conditions, the projector offers the option of using different interchangeable lenses. Verifying the respective distances is easily possible via the Lens Calculator. Looking at practical performance, up to 868 cm can be illuminated with 7300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 579 cm. For media input, video signals up to 1080P as well as 3D are supported. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs. Since entering the market in 2014, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
