With the DU4381Z-ST, Vivitek offers a 3D-LED-DLP projector that features 6100 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 30000:1 and a resolution of WUXGA 1920 x 1200. The manufacturer lists the lifespan for this model at 30000 hours – calculating to 20.5 years at four hours of use per day. To ensure a rectangular image even with asymmetrical placement, the projector includes digital keystone correction for both the horizontal and vertical axes. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 100 cm. A look at the light output reveals: The 6100 ANSI lumens are sufficient to illuminate an image width of up to 794 cm in darkened rooms. If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 529 cm. In terms of video signals, the device processes resolutions up to Full HD 1080P as well as 3D. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. Connectivity for fixed installations is rounded off by an RJ45 port for remote maintenance and an HDBaseT interface, which transmits bundled video, audio, and control data over long cable runs.
