Model Overview

Based on DLP technology, the Sharp XV Z201E device delivers 800 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WPAL 1024 x 576 and a contrast of 2000:1 as a projector. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 5000 hours, achieving a lifespan of 6.8 years when used for 2 hours a day.
Regarding setup flexibility, the model features an optical lens shift function alongside digital keystone correction, allowing for precise alignment; exact values can be calculated using the Projector Calculator.
Regarding projection size, the value of 800 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 287 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 191 cm.
Regarding noise emissions, the model proves to be exceptionally quiet during operation, producing just 29 decibels. This model dates back to 2003 and is no longer part of Sharp's current product range. For your information: Compatible lamps for this device are no longer available in stores.

more is not possible!

I bought the projector in May 2004 and still use it today - May 2014 - and I have to say that the projector still delivers a great HD ready image (720p) thanks to the Matterhorn chip. Only the HDCP handshake using a DVI/HDMI adapter causes problems for us from time to time. Even the lamp, which has now been running for 2600 hours (the manufacturers specification is 4,000 hours), is still acceptable in a completely dark home cinema. Compared to the latest projectors, it is of course inferior, but its like a marriage – you go through good and bad times together – thanks Sharp for the great projector and ten years of fun in the home cinema.
