As a projector for the Standard-Portabel sector, the Mitsubishi S290 is equipped with 1600 ANSI lumens, a SVGA 800 x 600 resolution and a contrast of 250:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 2000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 348 cm can be illuminated with 1600 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 232 cm. Since entering the market in 2002, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
